Meeting Minutes for May 8, 2017

7:00pm – Board of Directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the list of issues that were discussed:

7:30pm – Meeting was called to order – Pledge of Allegiance & Conservation pledge

Introduction of Officers: Stephen Gustkey- Pistol, Mike Cumberland-President, Jim Hacke- Secretary, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, Mike Ripley- Jr. Rifle/Black Powder and Tom Horstman- Trap.

Treasurer’s Report: Steve read treasurer’s report due to Jon’s absence.

Bills and Communications: Spring taxes and monthly bills were paid.

Pop: Steve turned in $26.

Rental Committee Report: Peggy turned in $525 from previous rentals. PA Constibuls will be here May 19th, 20th, 21st. Upcoming rentals will be June 3rd, 4th, 17th, 24th.

Pistol Team: Steve turned in $395 from the sectional match. Starting in May the pistol team shoots on Thursdays from 5 PM till dark. $2 a night or $20 for all summer. 22 cal. & Center fire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All welcome to come practice.

Trap Team: Tom turned in $19.77 from practice and $205.17 from league. Trap range open every Tuesday evening starting at 5pm for practicing. $3.50 per 25 targets. Open to public.

Black Powder: Mike turned in $300 from the frolic. Mike said they will be working on improvements to the entrance to the cabin area in the future.

Junior Rifle Team: Junior rifle is still shooting in 2 separate groups. Advanced shooters on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month and beginners on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Any adults willing to help are appreciated.

Archery: Still looking for any members willing to join together to make a team to practice.

Fun Indoor Shoot: Dickie wanted to let everyone know of the time change. They will be shooting every Monday @ 1pm starting in September. Everyone is welcome. Open sights with .22 caliber rifles from a rested position.

Membership: Brian read new memberships and collected $180 of which $20 to maintenance fund and $160 to general fund. He reported 73 new members for 2017 which brings total of 428 Sr, Life and Charter members. Total membership is 596.

Old Business: The boiler is 95% done. Dough from Fresh Air said it’s okay to use the new boiler untill he returns with with some replacement parts that were defective from factory. May 22nd will be the start date for the floor to be refinished in the main hall.

New Business: 100 Yrd rifle range is shot out and needs attention.
